Our Mission

At Lagemann College Consulting, LLC, Suzanne’s main goal is to help each student identify her own academic, personal, and social strengths, as well as her interests and passions both in and outside the classroom.  This, in turn, helps the student connect her past and present experiences to her future. Rather than focus on what a student “should” do in order to get into college, Suzanne’s advising helps the student self-reflect, which enables her ‘to own’ the college application process and select the best schools for herself.

No student is alike and thus Suzanne works closely with the student and family to help him 'own' the high school/college experience with confidence and pride.

Suzanne helps students:

  • Identify and select high school courses
  • Recognize their own strengths and develop out-of- school experiences based on those strengths
  • Stay on a timeline throughout the entire college application process
  • Identify Colleges and Universities
  • Manage and schedule standardized testing
  • Prepare for college interviews
  • Write college essays through guidance and assistance
  • Navigate financial aid applications
  • Maintain confidence and ‘ownership’ of the college application process
  • Prepare for College Visits and Tours
  • Prepare for requesting Letters of Recommendation
  • Prepare for Athletic Recruitment
  • Who may have learning differences, ADHD, IEP’s and 504 Plans
  • With College Transition Issues
  • Graduate School/Post Secondary Counseling Available
  • LGBTQ+ Students

I was very anxious and disorganized going into the college process. Ms. Lagemann’s experience in the field of higher education has been an invaluable asset to me in this journey. She understands all of the obstacles facing students in applying to and choosing the right college and has done a great deal to help me feel more prepared to apply to college.
